In un mondo più che mai caratterizzato da una distribuzione ineguale delle capacità di movimento, ove per molti spostarsi e circolare rappresenta l’unica possibilità di sopravvivenza, un aspetto fondamentale del nostro tempo è ormai la brutalità delle frontiere. In questi spazi più o meno ristretti e militarizzati, si vorrebbe che tutto resti immobile. Sono molti coloro, uomini e donne, che ormai v’incontrano la fine, o vengono deportati quando non muoiono semplicemente in un naufragio o per una scarica elettrica.

Campi di rifugiati, campi profughi, accampamenti di migranti, campi per stranieri, aree di sosta per persone in attesa, zone di transito, centri di identificazione e detenzione, centri di accoglienza per richiedenti asilo, centri di accoglienza provvisoria, villaggi per profughi villaggi di inserimento migranti, ghetti, giungle, alloggi, case per migranti […] Il campo non è più solo il nostro presente, è il nostro futuro, la nostra soluzione per”tenere a distanza tutto quello che dà fastidio, per contenere o respingere ciò che, umano materia organica o rifiuto industriale, è di troppo”. CRACK! fumetti dirompenti di Roma come sai è un festival autogestito e auto-organizzato in rete dedicato al fumetto e all’arte disegnata e stampata. Non c’è niente di ufficiale o formale da fare per partecipare, compilando il form qui sotto ci rendi l’organizzazione più semplice. Siamo un festival di persone che vogliono solo condividere il loro lavoro, aperto a tutti gli autori e produttori underground e d’avanguardia. Non ci sono costi di partecipazione, non c’è selezione sulla qualità del lavoro ma solo sulla tipologia. Sono accettati tutti i progetti di fumetto autoprodotto e zine, e stampe d’arte senza esclusione alcuna. Se individuiamo una proposta inadatta per motivi etici o di genere di produzione (no artigianato no produzioni tessili no fotografia no pittura no copyright no sessismo no fascismo no razzismo) ti indirizzeremo ad altre situazioni. Se hai già partecipato a CRACK! sei automaticamente in e se non ti arrivano nostre comunicazioni entro un paio di settimane dall’iscrizione considerati nel festival. Ogni comportamento non etico o trucchetti nella presentazione dell’iscrizione, che verranno notati in seguito porteranno all’esclusione dal festival in qualsiasi momento. Ovviamente non è un problema se tra le altre cose fai qualche t-shirt o borsa, noi solo non vogliamo che questo sia un mercatino di maglie, ci siamo capiti!
IMPORTANTE anche quest’anno l’area underground di CRACK! sarà assegnata solo sulla base di progetti. Una cella un progetto. Se vuoi essere nel sotterraneo proponici qui un progetto illustrato in maniera comprensibile (con testi e immagini). Le misure delle celle le trovi qui https://bit.ly/2ZtaaNt. C’è spazio per 50 progetti ma se non vuoi una cella e se hai solo bisogno di uno spazio per esporre i tuoi libri fanzine etc troverai posto senz’altro nei corridoi che collegano i sotterranei alle piazze del Forte o negli spazi superiori.
In nessun caso si usano bombole spray o altre vernici che si diffondano nell’aria durante il festival.
La Serigrafia del Forte sarà aperta per progetti nei giorni ANTECEDENTI al festival, avrai supporto dai componenti del Churma Lab ma ci serve capire il tuo progetto, ti chiediamo una scheda tecnica dettagliata per capire cosa ti serve e fartelo trovare a disposizione. Ci aspettiamo che lasci alcune copie del tuo lavoro per l’archivio di Crack e per il banchetto che Churma porterà in giro dopo il festival.
A CRACK! è possibile campeggiare, o in alternativa sarai ospitato in stanze comuni, porta con te il tuo sacco a pelo, materassino e la tenda se puoi. Esigenze particolari (furgoni navi aerei treni autobus da parcheggiare nel Forte o simili) vanno concordate via mail. Troverai una cucina condivisa e alcune basiche provviste di cibo. Metteremo a disposizione alcuni tavoli ma non ce ne sono a sufficienza per tutt*, quindi organizzati e porta con te il tuo banchetto (che occupi mt 1,5 circa). Se porti luci o altro che richieda corrente porta solo elementi a basso consumo. Segnala nelle note le necessità essenziali.
CRACK! ha inaugurato una stagione di festival indipendenti in tutta Europa. Ospiti da tutti questi festival sono sempre benvenuti: CA. CO di Bari, UE’ di Napoli, RATATÀ di Macerata, BORDA!FEST di Lucca, A.F.A. di Milano, ZAPP! di Pescara, TENDERETE di Valencia, GUTTER FEST di Barcellona, ALTCOM comics festival di Malmo, NOVO DOBA Festival di Belgrado, e tutta la rete del NUEVO FRENTE POPULAR PARA LA LIBERACION GRAFICA. Il festival è ospitato e prodotto dal FORTEPRENESTINO C.S.O.A. di Roma, antica fortezza occupata da oltre trent’anni per restituirla alla città, per un uso sociale, politico e culturale dei beni comuni: ci aspettiamo da te responsabilità e aiuto nella gestione dello spazio che ti viene assegnato, sia per dormire che per esporre. CRACK! fumetti dirompenti as you know, is an independent, networking festival devoted to comics and drawn printed art. There’s nothing formal or official about what we do, we are just asking you to fill this form to make things easier for us. We are a festival for people that want to share their work, and we don’t exclude anyone from coming along. We’re open to any author and underground and avant-garde producer. There is no participation fee, there is no selection based on the quality of work but just on the kind of production. We accept any kind of autonomous production of comics and zines, and art prints no exceptions. Any unethical proposal or from a different field (no handcraft no textiles works no photography no paintings no copyright no sexism no fascism no racism etc) we will address you to other situations. If you have already taken part to CRACK! in the past you are in already, and if you don’t get any mail from us in a couple of weeks it means you are in as well. In any case we may notice this kind of unethical behaviours, or any other tricks in subscribing, we may invite you to leave the festival at any time. Note that if you produce some bags or t-shirts among other prints this is not a problem for us, we just don’t want a textile market!
IMPORTANT! Also this year the underground area of CRACK! will be assigned only on a project basis. It means a single cell for each single project. If you you want to stay in the underground space please send us here a project detailed in a way we may understand (with text and illustrations). We have room for 50 projects , if you don’t need a cell and if you have just need of a space for your books fanzines etc you will find for sure space in the corridors that are used to connect the underground with the open squares of the Forte or in the other spaces upstairs.
No spray can nor any other chemicals in the air during the festival are admitted.
Forte Silkscreen Lab will be open and hosting projects the days BEFORE the festival, you will find technical support by Churma Lab people there, but we need to understand your project in advance, we are asking a detailed technical rider to understand your needs and to organize to let you find the stuff once here. At the end of the work session we need you leave us some copies of the realized project, for Crack archive and as well for the Churma stand that will travel around after the festival.
In CRACK! there is a campsite, and common rooms to sleep on the ground, so don’t forget to pack your sleeping bag, a camping mattress and a tent in case. We can host you even with your van (planes and trains and boats and buses and everything else) but this has to be discussed by mail. You will find an shared kitchen and some basic food supplies. Some tables will disposable at the Forte, but for sure not enough, so be ready to find a solution by yourself. If you take with you lights or other devices please remember we have power shortage. Please describe in the notes your essential needs we can’t imagine.
CRACK! festival of Rome has been the opening of a network of independent festival across Europe. If you are coming by any node of this net you are more than welcome: CA. The festival is hosted and produced by FORTEPRENESTINO C.S.O.A. in Rome, the ancient fortress squatted since more than thirty years to give it’s political cultural and social use back to the commons. We expect by you responsibility and help in the space management, both for exhibiting than for sleeping. Help us to keep the space clean!
